The Ballad of Kid Kanturk screens on RTÉ Two tonight at 23.45 as part of RTÉ’s Short Screen series
Written by Kevin Barry, The Ballad of Kid Kanturk, stars Eileen Walsh (Eden) and Mark Doherty (A Film With Me In It) and tells the story of a bog-gothic love-duel between aging since Slim Mannion, reborn Rock’billy sensation Kid Kanturk and the seductive rock’billy vamp caught between them.
