Annecy International Animation Festival and Market – Special Irish Focus
The major players in the Irish animation industry are set to attend the world famous Annecy International Animation Festival and market (MIFA) this week when the festival will pay tribute to Ireland with a host of screenings and events throughout the festival. Along with the special Irish focus two Irish projects The Last Train (pictured above) and A Different Perspective are in official competition at this year’s festival.
Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board and Enterprise Ireland will launch an exciting new Irish animation promo and brochure showcasing work from right across the Irish sector at events organised by the two agencies during the market. These events will be attended by the Ambassador of Ireland to France, Mr Paul Kavanagh who is a special guest of the festival this year.
The Annecy International Film Festival takes place 6th – 11th June while MIFA takes place 6th – 8th June in Annecy, France.
