A further call for entries was made today for the Blackrock Animation Film Festival Competition. With just 6 weeks left to the deadline of Friday 6th July, Festival Director, Fionnghuala Ní Néill encouraged both existing and emerging talent to take part in the competition and be in with a chance to receive a Blackrock Animation Film Festival Award (BAFFA).
Winning entries will be showcased during Blackrock Animation Film Festival 2012 (12th- 13th October) and prizes will be awarded at the BAFFAs ceremony on Saturday 13th October. The festival, in its second year will feature screenings, workshops and talks throughout the town.
Festival Director, Fionnghuala Ní Néill said: ‘We are very excited about the level of entries already coming in this year. We have 8 categories and I want to further encourage people of all abilities and styles to take part. This festival is for everyone with an interest in animation, film and art and we want to make it accessible to those interested in these and related fields.’
