Registration Now Open for Films in Progress 22

Films in Progress, the twice-yearly rendezvous at the San Sebastian Festival and the Rencontres Cinémas d’Amérique Latine in Toulouse, opens the registration period for its coming edition.

Films in Progress 22 will take place in San Sebastian on 25 and 26 September 2012 within the framework of the Festival’s 60th edition.

This initiative by the San Sebastian Festival and the Rencontres Cinémas d’Amérique Latine in Toulouse focuses on contributing to the completion of Latin American feature films at the post-production stage.

The awards granted in Films in Progress, and the presentation of these films for industry professionals in San Sebastian and Toulouse, has made a remarkable contribution in recent years to the completion and dissemination of some of the most outstanding contemporary Latin American films.

Films in Progress 22 is open to feature films produced in the different Latin American countries, the filming of which has been completed, but which are having difficulties with the post-production process.
The following award will be granted at Films in Progress 22:

  • The Films in Progress Industry Award. The companies: Best Digital, Dolby, Imasblue, Kodak (División de Cine Profesional), Nephilim Producciones, No Problem Sonido and Vértigo Films will assume the post-production of a film until achieving a DCP with English subtitles and its distribution in Spain.

Films participating in Films in Progress will have access to international circulation on the worldwide Instituto Cervantes network.
