Upcoming Cinemagic Dublin Media Events May 14th

The Coca-Cola Cinemagic Film & Television Festival has a number of places available in the media events below taking place in the Burlington Hotel, Monday 14th May. Leading industry professionals will be on hand throughout the day to offer advice to students interested in a career in film & television media.

 

Media representatives attending the event include: Ben Frow (TV3 – Director of Programming), Brian Henry Martin (Doubleband Films – Documentary Filmmaker/Film Critic), Neil McCallum (Channel 4 - Head of T4 / Music), Rick Edwards (Channel 4 – Presenter), Channel 4 Production Team.

 

 

 

Pitch That Brief      

 

This class will be facilitated by Brian Henry Martin, Producer/Director, Doubleband Films and Ben Frow director of programming TV3.

 

So you’ve got an idea for a film or television programme? What’s the next step? Brian will host a workshop in the morning showing some of the latest work produced by DoubleBand Films as well as covering the do’s and don’ts of filmmaking. Participants will then be given a commissioning brief and asked to pitch their ideas to Ben, who in turn will offer advice and feedback before picking the best pitch in the afternoon session!

Meet the Professionals – Industry Panel Event

 

Representatives from film and television will be delivering an informative and practical workshop designed to support young people interested in pursing a career in the media industry. Panel members will be on hand to offer guidance and advice as well as answering questions from the audience. Topics discussed will include – how to get into the industry, finding the right career path for you, how to pitch, who to contact and how to develop your skills base. The Panel will include: Ben Frow (TV3), Neil McCallum (T4), Rick Edwards (T4), Channel 4 Production Team, Brian Henry Martin (DoubleBand Films).
