International Award-Winning Irish Film picks up an Award of Excellence at the Canada International Film Festival

Liam Clarke’s internationally award winning film  ‘ 2 TONNE HANDS ‘ has just picked up an Award of Excellence at the Canada International Film Festival in Vancouver. Directed by and starring Liam – the film follows a shy, young Polish builder who is stranded and lost in Ireland after losing his job. Separated from his wife and child and without friends, he applies his big awkward hands to using music to help him turn his life around.

Since its release, ‘ 2 TONNE HANDS ’ has also picked up a Bronze Palm at The Mexico International Film Festival and a Silver Medal at Park City Film Music Festival in Utah.

“I like to see personal stories with ordinary characters in, what is for them, extraordinary situations,” says Liam Clarke, writer and director of the film.

“… not only is the storyline relevant and heartwarming, but the music is absolutely bonechilling.”

Del Weston, founder of the Action on Film Festival, California.

“Compelling, Irish gem,”
