25 filmmakers from 13 countries, such as South Africa, China, Lebanon, Brazil, Colombia, the U.S. and several European countries including Ireland, joined forces to write, direct, produce and now premiere this film in their own locations. The film entitled The Owner, follows an ordinary backpack on a event filled journey around the world. The bag is passed from character to character, country to country, on its way back to its owner, a man whose identity is the central mystery of the film. The Irish Director involved in the project is Mairtin de Barra from Cork who’s short Film ‘Tart’ won ‘Best Cinematography’ at the Corona Fastnet Short Film Festival in 2009 and has just wrapped his debut feature film ‘Beat Girl’ for BeActive Media.
