‘Better Together’ Online Video Competition Call for Entries

Aspiring and student film-makers across Ireland are invited to lend their support to a new public awareness campaign, Better Together (www.bettertogether.ie), which has been launched to build public support for thousands of charities and community groups.

This social media campaign centres on the website www.bettertogether.ie where charitable organisations can showcase their work by submitting inspiring short videos to the Better Together Video Competition. The public are also being invited to show their support by donating to and voting for their favourite videos and causes.

Above all the campaign aims to inspire the public to connect with and support their local community, to show the heroic efforts being made daily by volunteers and people working to help those most in need and to demonstrate that we are better together.

Film-Makers Wanted

To help these organisations tell their story and create a winning video, we are inviting aspiring film-makers to partner with an organisation of their choice to produce and direct an inspirational short video (of 3-minutes or less).

Last year over 200 videos were submitted to the Better Together campaign, and they were viewed over 130,000 times by over 63,000 people. So why not get involved and gain exposure for your work while also adding to your own showreel?

Videos can be submitted from now until 28th October, 2011. The campaign will culminate with the Better Together Awards on 1 December when the winners will be announced at a glitzy ceremony inDublin.
