Cork director Damian Mc Carthy’s short film Hungry Hickory has been selected to screen at the Court Metrange Film Festival in France. Hungry Hickory has just finished a 7 city tour of Germany as part of Fantasy Film Festival and also recently screened at Dead by Dawn in Scotland where it won the Cutting Edge Short Film Award. Hickory has also been selected to screen at Freakshow Horror Film Festival in Orlando Florida alongside Damian’s first award-winning short film He Dies At The End. Damian’s follow up to He Dies At The End, Hatch (which is nominated for the Melies d’Or Best European Short Film Award), has also just been selected to screen at the New Orleans Horror Film Festival.

Hungry Hickory, saw it in Horrorthon in Dublin. Whatever i say can’t do that short film justice, amazing, it’s stuck in my head and I’m describing it’s brilliance to everyone.
Damian has a guaranteed future as far as I’m concerned.
