There is a short film competition running as part of the InFocus visual arts exhibition being held in the Grand Social on the 12th August. It is an Independent Visual Arts exhibition that aims to raise awareness and money to help the homeless, including a photography exhibition with some top photographers displaying work, a video installation and music from up and coming Irish bands; ‘This Club’, ‘International Racket Squad’ and ‘The Fibbs’. The night will finish off with a DJ. 100% of all funds raised are going directly to the charity.
The length of the shorts is to be no more than 60 secs. The idea is to interpret ‘Homelessness in Ireland’ in the form of film. It could be a short, a monologue, animation…whatever you feel depicts it best in your mind. The best entries will then be displayed on the Focus Ireland Facebook page (Which has over 60,000 fans) and on the night.
All pieces must be submitted by 12pm on the 8th of August.
