Barry Monahan of UCC will give a talk entitled ‘Taking on Hollywood: The Style of Contemporary Irish Film’ as part of Dublintellectual – Conversations on Culture series. The event takes place on Wednesday, 1st June at 8.00pm in the Shebeen Chic on Georges St, Dublin.

Dublintellectual – Conversations on Culture events are free and take place regularly in the Shebeen Chic, George’s St as well as other one-off locations throughout the city. The aim of the project is to promote Arts and Humanities through informal public events where scholars and cultural figures discuss their research in the hope of inviting conversation. Each talk is 15 mins long with 10mins for discussion/conversation. Everyone is welcome!
