QFT & Jameson Whiskey partnership
Queens Film Theatre has announced a new three-year partnership with Jameson Irish Whiskey. As part of the new collaboration, QFT’s main cinema screen will be renamed Jameson Screen One, the QFT bar will be relaunched and Jameson and QFT will be developing a range of special events for Northern Ireland film fans.
To celebrate the partnership, on Friday 6th May QFT and Jameson have will screen an exclusive preview screening of Attack the Block, an action adventure movie from writer-director Joe Cornish (Adam and Joe). Presented by Optimum Releasing, this new release pits a teen gang against an invasion of savage alien monsters, turning a rundown London housing estate into a sci-fi playground and teenage street kids into heroes.
The celebration continues on Saturday 7th May, with ‘Jameson presents… GoodFellas’ – the third in a series of special-themed film experience events celebrating cult classics. Hosted by Ralph McLean (BBC Northern Ireland), the event will feature complimentary Jameson and pizza courtesy of Little Wing Pizzeria; music and spot prizes. It all begins at 9.00pm in the QFT Bar, followed by the film screening at 10.00pm.
