The IFI presents the second part of the its two-month long season of the works of Jerzy Skolimowski, which includes more of his work from his earlier period as well as celebrating his return to filmmaking since 2008. Introducing Four nights with Anna (2008) to an audience at the Cannes Film Festival after a 17-year break from directing, veteran Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski said ‘To those who like me, I’m back.’ With characteristic humour he added: ‘To those who don’t like me – I’m back.’ Skolimowski’s return to directing is a cause for rejoicing and April at the IFI will also include the release of his new film Essential Killing.
