FÁS Screen Training Ireland has announced 3D Cinema in Europe, a project based programme aimed at exploring the technical and creative requirements in producing a 3D stereoscopic live action feature film.
3D cinema in Europe aims to provide producers and creatives with an in-depth knowledge of the current 3D landscape, enabling them to project manage a 3D project through all stages from development, pre-production, production, post-production, distribution and exhibition.
Applicants should be experienced European producers, directors, writers, development executives, editors, DOPs etc. Producers and Directors must have a feature film or experimental short project in development in order to attend the course and a proven track record in the industry.
Producers and Directors attend both Module 1 and Module 2. The technical module in December is open to cinematographers, editors, technical personal who are not attached to a project but wish to explore the technical requirements of shooting and posting in 3D.
This 6-day course costs €1,650 per participating producer/director and €700 per participating cinematographer, creative’s, editors, film labs etc.
Travel costs are excluded but accommodation and meals are included in the fee for the training programme.
