The films in the second part of the IFI Graham Greene Season offer further insights into ‘Greeneland’, exploring the issues of politics faith and morality though various locations and riveting narratives.
Twenty years after his death, Greene’s popularity and relevance to contemporary filmgoers continues with the remake of Brighton Rock being released on the 5th February – the third Greene remake in a decade.
One of the highlights of the season is Adrian Wootton’s Talk on Graham Greene at 7pm on 9th February. The CEO of Film London and a regular guest speaker at the IFI, this longtime Greene aficionado is preparing a new book on the author. Adrian will examine the life and illustrious career of the novelist, film critic and screenwriter using film clips and stills as illustrations.
