‘The Fading Light’ at Shebeen Flick

Independent Irish Director Ivan Kavanagh will join film buffs at Shebeen Flick on Tuesday 18th January for a post-screening discussion on his acclaimed film The Fading Light.

Winner of Best Irish Film and Best Actor at the Dublin Film Critics’ Circle Awards last year, The Fading Light is a study of a family in crisis. As their Mother slips into the last stage of a fatal illness, her three children gather under the same roof in Dublin for the first time in a long while.

The screening will start at 7.30pm with award-winning short film Questions by emerging director Mark Noonan, followed by The Fading Light and ending with the Q&A with Ivan Kavanagh.

Shebeen Flick is a weekly film night showing loved and unseen Irish films on Tuesdays at 7.30pm in Shebeen Chic, 4 Georges Street, Dublin 2. The initiative is run in association with the Screen Directors Guild of Ireland.
