Made in Eastern Europe
The East-West Co-production market Connecting Cottbus will be held for the twelfth time on 4–5 November, 2010 as part of the 20th Film Festival Cottbus.
The event will see news ideas for feature films are presented, possibilities for co-production between Eastern and Western Europe being discussed and future professional collaborations initiated.
90 submissions were received from 22 countries, of which 15 projects were selected for the final pitching, with representatives of Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung MDM, Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg, German Films, the Media Antenna Berlin-Brandenburg and the Nipkow Programme appointed as members of the jury.
The supporting programme for the co-production market, which will be held as usual in the Congress Hotel Lindner in Cottbus, is set to include workshops and panel discussions on topical issues affecting the European and East European film industries.
Connecting Cottbus is supported by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, the MEDIA Programme of the European Union, and MDM/Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung. Connecting Cottbus is organised by pool production GmbH
