In addition to hosting this year’s Darklight, the IFI are also collaborating with the festival to present a strand that draws attention to the work of experimental filmmaker Patrick Keiller.
A trained architect-turned filmmaker, Keiller draws on a wide range of influences and disciplines – architecture, history, art, philosophy, poetry – as he uses his fascination with the past to sharpen his portrait of the present.
Keiller’s work will be examined through screenings of three of his films; London (1994) , Robinson in Space (1997), and Robinson in Ruins (2010) which will be screened 30–31 October.
Tickets are available from the IFI Box Office, by calling 01 679 3477, and online at www.ifi.ie
