Irish Comedy HAPPY EVER AFTERS DVD Release

| July 21, 2010 | Comments (2)

Stephen Burke’s wedding comedy, Happy Ever Afters, will be available to own on DVD from Friday 23rd July.

The Irish feature film tells the story of two couples who are married in different churches on the same day. Maura marries Wilson, a Nigerian immigrant and Freddie marries the uptight Sophie for the second time. However, trouble begins when the two weddings collide with both receptions booked for the same hotel and the fun really starts when the immigration police arrive.

This slapstick comedy stars Golden Globe winner Sally Hawkins (Happy-Go-Lucky), Tom Riley (St. Trinians 2), IFTA nominees Jade Yourall, Ger Ryan and Simon Delaney and introduces the feature debut of 11-year-old Sinead Maguire.

Produced by Lesley McKimm for Newgrange Pictures, Happy Ever Afters was co-financed by the IFB, Filmstiftung NRW and Films Distributions. Read more about it’s release at www.irishfilmboard.ie

Why are Film Ireland promoting this rubbish? Neither screwball nor comedy indeed!

  2. I cannot wait for the Golden Globe Awards. I stinkin’ love it and I look forward to it every year.
