The Filmbase/RTÉ funded short film Dead Load will première next week at the Galway Film Fleadh, where it will screen in competition with a number of other Irish shorts.
A Warrior Films production, Dead Load is directed by Greg Corcoran, written by Greg Corcoran and Colin Corrigan and is produced by Dave Leahy.
Featuring Paul Roe (Adam & Paul, Kisses), Úna Kavanagh (Garage, Bittersweet) and Peter O’Dwyer (50 Pounds), the film is a surreal crime thriller and dark comedy about a relationship in turmoil.
Dead Load was shot on Red by DoP Dave Grennan (Kisses, Eamon), and production designer on the project was Ignacio Barbé (Raw, Zonad). Post-production was carried out at Screenscene, where it was edited by Derek Holland (The Pool, Fifth Street).
