The Galway Film Fleadh, in association with FÁS Screen Training Ireland, have announced that Ronald Harwood is to present the screenwriting masterclass, while Stephen Daldry will deliver the directors masterclass at the festival.
Oscar-winning screenwriter Ron Harwood has written 21 stage plays, 10 books and created more than 16 screenplays, but he’s best known for The Browning Version(1994), Being Julia(2004), Roman Polanski’s version of Oliver Twist and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.
Stephen Daldry holds the distinction of being the only director to be nominated for an Oscar for his first three films, Billy Elliot, The Hours and The Reader, all of which earning him best director nominations.
The screenwriting Masterclass will take place on 7th July while the directors masterclass will take place on 10th July, both in the Radisson Hotel, Galway. An acting masterclass is to be confirmed, visit www.galwayfilmfleadh.com for details.
