Northern Ireland Screen has reviewed its short film funding and will operate a two-tier approach to funding short films. New filmmakers and those wishing to further develop their short filmmaking skills will be able to apply for a place on the Shorts Steps programme while for the more established filmmakers, Northern Ireland Screen will hold two funding calls. One of which is open currently and closes 31st August 2010.
There are two levels of funding available, individuals may apply for up to £2,250 of a £2,500 budget or companies may apply for up to £4,500 of a £5,000 or above budget.
Entries must be from a Northern Ireland resident or creative team (writer, director, producer) with a track record of two or more short films and must also be able to go into production by March 2011.
Applications will close at 5pm on 31st August 2010. For further information visit www.northernirelandscreen.co.uk or call 00442890 232 444.
