TEENS COMPETE TO CREATE TV COMEDIES

RTÉ Young People’s Department announces Swede Me, a competition which offers teens the opportunity to make and star in their own show. These will be made up of short, comic films made by teenagers, about teenagers, with each episode focusing on a different teen label –for example drama school divas, skaters, or rockers.

Prospective sweders must be aged between 12 and 17, and the three winning groups will win the opportunity to make their own mini comedy TV shows with a professional crew.

To apply, teenagers must fill in the short application form at www.rte.ie by 6pm on Wednesday 2nd June.
