Shooting is set to commence for Camelot, a new 10-part drama series, in June 2010 at Ardmore Studios, County Wicklow.
Written by Michael Hirst (The Tudors) and Chris Chibnall (Life on Mars, Torchwood) the series will be a retelling of the legend of King Arthur based on Thomas Malory’s 15th century book, Le Morte d’Arthur.
The series is an international co-production between Octagon Films, Ecosse Films and Canada’s Take Five Productions.
Post-production will be completed in Canada and Camelot is set to air early 2011 on Starz in the U.S.
