In addition to the regular screenings and discussions, this year’s Guth Gafa International Documentary Film Festival is hosting a special programme for film professionals and students, with panels, forums and a masterclass.

The festival will offer a ‘Meet the Experts’ round, where participants will have the opportunity to spend a group session with each member of a panel of experts, discussing creative development, financing, sales and promotion. Internationally acclaimed director Kim Longinotto will give a talk about her work. Two of her films, Pride of Place and Divorce Iranian Style will also be screened at the festival.

‘Doc Outreach – The Festival and Beyond’ will see a panel of professionals examine the distribution of documentary films after their festival launch. Also the forum ‘Through Kids Eyes’, will discuss how an adult can capture a child’s life in an authentic way.

The Guth Gafa International Documentary Film Festival will be held this year 11–13 June, in Gortahork, Donegal. For more information visit www.guthgafa.com
