Guth Gafa International Documentary Film Festival

The 5th Guth Gafa International Documentary Film Festival will be held this year 11–13 June, in Gortahork, Donegal.

With 30 international and Irish feature and short documentaries, the festival selection promises a varied programme. Cooking History (Slovakia, Czech, Austria, 2009) by Péter Kerekes, Record of a Mummy (Switzerland, 2009) by Peter Liechti, and The Horse Boy (UK/USA, 2009) by Rupert Isaacson are among the films being screened. The Irish selection includes two multi award-winning documentaries, His & Hers (2009) by Ken Wardrop and Colony (2009) by Ross McDonnell and Carter Gunn.

Alongside the screenings and discussions will be a special programme for film professionals and students with panels, seminars and masterclasses.
