The 16th Annual Encounters International Film Festival is calling for submissions.

The festival aims to stand internationally as a festival of discovery, a celebration of cinema, a platform for new talent and a catalyst for new short films. It takes place 16–21 November in Bristol. The Festival will screening high quality new short films and animations less than 30 minutes in all genres from around the world. The competition screenings are broken down to 3 strands: Brief Encounters, Animated Encounters and DepicT!, each with their own awards.

Submissions will be accepted until 30th June 2010 and filmmakers are encouraged to submit films digitally with a discounted entry fee.
