Irish producer Katie Holly (Bl!nder Films) was among the names announced by the European Film Promotion (EFP) of the 23 enterprising up-and-coming producers from Europe who will be coming together between 15-18 May 2010 for EFP’s networking platform ‘Producers on the Move’ at the Cannes International Film Festival. Holly was selected by the Irish Film Board for her work on such films as Conor Horgan’s One Hundred Mornings.

Within the framework of the three-day programme, the participants will have a chance to discuss the content, planning and financing of their European-oriented film projects and will be brought by EFP to the attention of the international film industry and press.

Vladimir Anastasov of Sektor Film is also among the producers included. Sektor Filmn recently produced As If I’m not There by Irish director Juanita Wilson.

Many European films like the award winning Nothing Personal by Urszula Antoniak were made possible thanks to ‘Producers on the Move’. In 2008, Macdara Kelleher of Fastnet Films from Ireland and Reinier Selen of Rinkel Film & TV Productions from the Netherlands, met, discussed, planned and, shortly afterwards, produced the film which is now being released theatrically in various European countries.
