'Paradiso'

The award-winning film documentary Paradiso is now an official selection for the Wurzburg Film Festival (27–31 January) in Germany. The film was directed by Alessandro Negrini, produced by Margo Harkin and commissioned by the BBC. Screened in January of this year, the film, set in Derry, follows a Fountain musician, Roy Arbuckle, as he attempts to reunite a band (The Signetts) forty years after it was founded and stage a major music and dance event in the Memorial Hall. Paradiso has won best documentary award at both the Slow Film Festival, Hungary, and at the Global Cinema Festival, India.
