Underground Cinema Call for Entries

Blue Moon Theatre Company launched their new venture, Underground Cinema, on September 3rd in the Kingston Hotel Dun Laoghaire.

Over the next 11 months Blue Moon will be screening a selection of some of the best short Irish films made by independent filmmakers. At the end of the 11 months, Blue Moon will shortlist a number of films to be shown again in September 2010 in Dun Laoghaire in a new Short Film Festival, culminating with the Underground Cinema Awards. The awards will be given in recognition of various aspects of filmmaking, including acting, directing, writing, editing, cinematography and original music. There will be two other awards on the night: the Best Film Award and a Special Jury Prize Award.

Blue Moon Theatre Company are currently accepting submissions from filmmakers from all over the country.
