| November 13, 2008 | Comments (0)

Hosted by access>CINEMA, the Embassy of Japan and the Ireland Japan Association, Ireland’s first Japanese Film Festival, will take place in Dublin, Cork and Limerick during November 2008.

There will be four films in total (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Mind Game, Hotel Hibiscus and Go) playing over the course of a weekend. Two are live action, and two are animation. None will have screened in Ireland prior to the festival. The purpose of the festival is cultural, and to this end the screenings will be free of charge.

The Dublin screenings are 15th and 16th November in Cineworld. The festival is then travelling to the Kino in Cork for the 22nd and 23rd and reaching the Storm in Limerick on the 26th and 27th. The screenings are taking place under Club conditions and are therefore open to 18+ only.
