The Irish Film and Television Academy (IFTA) is to hold an intimate evening ‘In Conversation’ with veteran Irish actor David Kelly at the IFI on Sunday, 17 August.
Academy members and attending special guests will have the opportunity to be part of a conversation with one of Ireland’s most popular and respected actors of the stage and screen.
In 2005, David Kelly was the recipient of the IFTA’s Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to him by co-star and friend Colm Meaney, with director Tim Burton, Irish actors Colin Farrell and Milo O’Shea and co-star Johnny Depp among those paying tribute to the 79-year-old actor.
With a career that spans over six decades, David Kelly’s feature film credits include Stardust, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Waking Ned and Into the West, while his television appearances include roles in Strumpet City, Fawlty Towers, Robin’s Nest and Glenroe. David’s latest work has been on Spanish thriller The Kovak Box alongside Oscar-winning® actor Timothy Hutton.
